A MESSAGE FROM THE FOUNDATION CHAIRMAN
2010 is the 18th year for the Northwest Educational Foundation. My how time flies when you’re having fun! We are proud of our many accomplishments, and are excited for the many new programs and activities we have added in recent years and continue to work on and grow for the Foundation and the benefit of our students! Of course, our success is only possible with your financial support. Thank you!
We’d also like to introduce our wonderful and talented Board of Directors, community members who are Northwest Alumni or Northwest advocates and give of their time and themselves for the betterment of the Foundation and the future of Northwest’s students. They are: Larry Wilhelmi, Chair; Stephanie King Witt, Vice-Chair; Len Mulligan, Secretary/Treasurer; Bill Mowinkel, Administrative Liaison; Bill Buettner, School Board Liaison; Kristin Caspar, Terry Holcomb, Chad Hudnall, Tom Janky, Darbie Mazour, Randy Meier, Chad Sheffield, Colleen Stutzman and Mike Witt. If you see these folks, please thank them for their time and dedication!
Thanks to your continued support, the Northwest Education Foundation was again able to offer four $500 scholarships to graduating seniors, and has started a new Classroom Mini-Grant program for teachers. If you haven’t stopped by Northwest High recently, stop in the new entryway and take a look at the class photos and “Leave a Legacy” brick display. We’ll also continue a newer fundraising tradition, the 4th annual “Northwest Idol”, on April 18. We hope you’ll join us to enjoy the fun and hear the talent of Northwest Students! Read more about all of these wonderful activities in our latest newsletter.
Peruse through our website! The website is donated and maintained by our board, and is a great way to keep up on Foundation activities as well as Class Reunions. Are you planning a reunion? Let us know how we can help!
As chairman and on behalf of the board, we thank you for your continued financial support!
Larry Wilhelmi, Chair
