Northwest Idol t-shirts will be available for $10 each.

Northwest Idol Competition Official Rules:
1. Tryouts for Northwest Idol will take place before of the Northwest Educational Foundation Board several weeks prior to the final competition. Auditionees should choose an a capella selection of a partial or full song of their choice to perform for the audition. From this tryout group, Board members will choose the Northwest Idol finalists.
2. In order to be eligible, Northwest Idol participants must be current students of Northwest High School, grades 9-12, Grand Island, Nebraska.
3. Northwest Idol finalists will perform one song of their choice, as a solo, in its entirety to pre-recorded music (backup tracks), which must be provided on a CD. Performance time is 5 minutes or less. Instruments are not permitted. Inappropriate lyrics are not permitted. Order of performance will be randomly drawn by an unrelated party.
4. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will be awarded selected based on the highest performance scores given by the Celebrity Judges only. Decisions by judges are final. The Northwest Educational Foundation Board members are not responsible for any part of the final selections.
5. Northwest Idol 1st place winners may not compete in Northwest Idol again in any years following their win. 2nd and 3rd place winners as well as finalists may continue to compete in following years.
Any expense incurred to compete is the responsibility of the contestant throughout the competition. The Northwest Educational Foundation Board reserves the right, exercisable at any time during the competition and at its sole discretion, to disqualify any contestant who is untruthful or provides misleading personal details or information, uses inappropriate lyrics or gestures, displays unethical behavior or tactics, or wears attire that is not appropriate.
The Northwest Educational Foundation is not a part of or funded by Northwest High School. Northwest Idol is not associated with the Northwest Music Department and/or Northwest Music Boosters. Northwest Idol was developed as a fundraiser and a fun way for Northwest students to showcase vocal talents in amateur competition.
